Harry SMITH

A loanee from Millwall who spent the first half of the 2017/18 season with Town, Smith stood 6’ 5” tall and fitted the target man role well. His debut came sooner than planned, introduced for an injured Luke Norris after only 34 minutes of Town’s opening game at Carlisle, before getting his first start against Norwich in the League Cup three days later.

The first part of the season saw Smith used largely as an impact substitute, and it took until the end of September for him to find the back of the net - playing a one-two with Keshi Anderson on the run into the box and doubling Town’s advantage over Cambridge United. In October and November he had a run of starts and notched two more goals - one against Dartford as Town surprisingly beat non-league opposition in the FA Cup (it didn’t catch on).

In December, Smith found himself out of the first team squad altogether and it was no surprise when he was recalled by Millwall due to lack of game time. He later went on to play for Macclesfield and Northampton.
