Mark MCCAMMON

The inexperienced striker joined on loan from Charlton Athletic at the start of 2000, on the same day that Iffy Onuora joined Gillingham. Having already lost George Ndah to Wolves, the forward line was looking very weak - but the club were in severe financial difficulties, and lacked funds to find a suitable replacement.

McCammon was a disappointment during his spell at the County Ground - in his four starts, he failed to find the net and didn't look like he was ever going to! Despite this, he went on to appear as a second half substitute in an FA Cup Final for Millwall in 2004.
