Lee MARSHALL | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
A highly-rated youth team player who, alongside Will Randall, was identified as a potential future Swindon star by Town manager Mark Cooper during the summer of 2014. He made his senior debut shortly afterwards as a late substitute against Luton Town in the League Cup. Marshall’s promise was deemed good enough to give him a professional contract in October 2014. However, he would have to wait until the final stages of the 2014/15 season before experiencing more first team football as Cooper opted to utilise youth players Marshall, Randall and Josh Cooke to deputise for first-team players being rested ahead of the Play-Offs. He made his full debut away at Preston North End and was a second half sub in the home draw against Leyton Orient a week later. The 2015/16 campaign would be a frustrating one for Marshall who was named in 23 matchday squads and only went on to make three appearances as a substitute. He was eventually released at the end of the season and later joined Bath City. PLAYING RECORD:
