Jack KIRTON

Kirton was a winger, signed from Small Heath at the beginning of the 1898/1899 season. He scored seven goals in twenty Southern League appearances for the Town - the club's top scorer that season.

He left the club at the end of that season, having decided to try his luck in the First Division with Sunderland. He failed to make an appearance for them, and returned to Swindon the following year - again staying for just one season before moving on.
