Nicky HAMMOND

Signed from Arsenal, Hammond was understudy to Fraser Digby between 1987 and 1995, making just 66 appearances. Glenn Hoddle seemed to prefer Hammond to Digby for a while, much to the fans' displeasure.

He broke his leg twice whilst with Swindon, which resulted in him taking the number 23 shirt for the 93/94 Premiership campaign, rather than the unlucky number 13.
