David GEDDIS | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The much-travelled forward arrived at the County Ground in October 1988 from Shrewsbury Town, to provide competition for Duncan Shearer and Steve White. It took over a month after his arrival for Geddis to bag his first league goal for Swindon - and that was the only goal in the 1-0 away victory at his former club Shrewsbury! He scored again in the Town's next away fixture at Bradford, and again in the next away visit, this time the first in a 2-0 win at Portsmouth. Geddis never found the net at the County Ground for Swindon and didn’t score again in the first team after his effort at Fratton Park. Geddis slipped out of the first team squad after his first season, and was eventually allowed to join Darlington. PLAYING RECORD:
