Signed on transfer deadline day in August 2012, Bessone originally looked set to sign on loan from Premier League Swansea, but ended up signing a six month permanent contract, after agreeing a deal to cancelling his contract at the Liberty Stadium. After sitting on the bench for a defeat at Preston three days later, Bessone made his Town debut at Oxford in the Johnstones Paint Trophy in early September - his League debut coming the following weekend against Leyton Orient. After both games ended in defeat by a single goal, regular left back Jay McEveley was reinstated into the starting eleven, and Bessone had to wait until the end of the month before being picked again - the Argentine utilised in unusual right back and left wing positions - before he incurred the wrath of manager Paolo di Canio for training through a knock, only to aggravate a calf injury that kept him out of action for over two months. Come the end of December, Bessones short term contract expired, and he left the club having not been offered an extension. PLAYING RECORD:
