Jim BARRON

Danny Williams signed Barron from Nottingham Forest in August 1974, in an attempt to add some experience between the sticks, after the Town's relegation the season before.

His agile displays and shot-stopping ability kept regular keeper Jimmy Allan out for the best part of three seasons - only a spell out through injury kept Barron out of the side for any length.

He missed just sixteen league games during his time with the club, before he left in March 1977 to play in the North American Soccer League.
